1 Eddie L. Johnikin appeals from a judgment convicting him of one count of aggravated battery, party to a crime. He also appeals from a circuit court order denying his post-conviction motion seeking to withdraw his no-contest plea. Johnikin argued in his post-conviction motion that the circuit court improperly participated in the plea negotiations leading to his no-contest plea and that his trial counsel was ineffective for erroneously advising Johnikin that he could not be charged with homicide should the victim of the battery die in the future. We conclude that the circuit court properly rejected both claims, and we affirm.
